This recipe is one of my new finds and fascinations! And, the best part is, it’s a no-cook recipe! Yes, you have heard it right, this one makes itself, rather than me, having to make it!
Chia (सब्ज़ा / तुकमरिया ) and Banana Milk Pudding ~ Breakfast 25 of #100happybreakfasts ! Chia seeds soaked in milk overnight, served with sliced bananas, sliced nuts, a drizzle of honey and a pinch of cinnamon. This is our breakfast today since we are fasting Chia seeds are the humble seeds used in Falooda which were non-existent to our Indian Eyes until the West told us it was a super food! Well, yours truly included. 😝🙌🙏 ————————————————————————————– Super food or not, they are yum. I don't care how super they are, as long as it provides me with something new to start my day with!😉😀 —————————————————————————————————————- I have been meaning to try this out since quite a while now. And oh yeah, Recipe Courtesy – @ohsheglows I will jot it down here once I am done gobbling this up. 😀😀 Recipe: The key thing is the ratio, which is 1tbsp Chia seeds : 1/4th measuring cup of milk. Mix with milk and leave it overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, top with fruits, nuts, honey, cinnamon. You may also add cocoa powder. Since I was fasting. I refrained from using it. That's about it! Chia seeds are the new sensation among the superfoods! Well, the Indians have been using it in summer coolers since quite a while. But, like all other things, we realise something only after the West reminds us about it.
Anyways, here is the recipe for the same!
- 2 tbsp Chia seeds,
- 1/2 cup of milk,
- chopped nuts,
- sliced/chopped fruits, to serve
